So I’ve been looking around for a retail shop do so some church outreach via a coffee shop kind of thing. I’ve been looking at where our main target area is and have noticed that there are a lot of charity shops along this stretch of high street. I wondering how they make enough money to justify the rental of a shop (which is about £18,000 per year). I know they get by with volunteers, and it is probably subsidized by a central fund, but still …. thats a lot of bric-a-brac to shift isn’t it?
Maybe someone can help me ….. there must be some kind of tax incentive or deal that they make with the landlord ….. ?
