I probably read one book every month. This is in addition to books I’m reading about what I’m currently teaching in church. So I could have 5-10 books that I’m reading at one time. Here I thought I’d just recommend my “extras” books (not ones I use when studying). These books have been particularly helpful in many areas of my life. I’m putting them here not only for your
benefit but also so that you would know where some of my thinking is
currently at, what I’m exploring, what I struggle with etc etc etc.

Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. I had only read half of this book before it became one of my all time favourites. I don’t agree with everything he has been saying but it is a very interesting read. There are some people who seem to think it is a theological treaties … it is not. It’s more a biography. Here’s a post about it |

Radical Reformission by Mark Driscoll was my second best read of 2007. Marks thinking and witty remarks blew me away. |

My lovely and gracious wife loved Blue Like Jazz and read large portions to me. It’s one of the books I’ve been meaning to read for myself.
